👑 Weekly AI Edge #37

AskBillyBets making waves. A look into BitMind (Subnet 34)

GM!

Word on the street is ETHDenver felt more like a Crypto AI conference than anything else. Prices may be down, but the builders? More bullish than ever.

Key takeaways from ETHDenver:

  • AI is shifting the game from technical execution to storytelling. Launching a project, joining a DAO, or building an app has never been easier—but standing out? That’s the real challenge.

  • Misinformation is AI’s dark side, making blockchain verification more crucial than ever.

  • AI-powered interfaces are about to make blockchain interactions seamless, bridging the gap for mainstream users.

  • Autonomous AI agents will demand new payment systems.

  • AI-powered robots? Already here—along with heated debates on security and societal impact.

Beyond ETHDenver, the week brought seismic macro moves. President Trump just signed an Executive Order establishing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, effectively turning seized BTC into a national asset instead of dumping it on the market. The U.S. government finally learns from its mistakes—and taxpayers don’t foot the bill this time.

Meanwhile, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian is reportedly among those looking to acquire TikTok US with the goal of bringing it on-chain. Imagine a TikTok where creators control their audience, and users own their data. Wild.

Ethereum is also entering a new leadership era. The Ethereum Foundation just appointed Hsiao-Wei Wang and Tomasz Stanczak as co-Executive Directors (appreciate the shoutout, Tomasz!). The big question: will this transition accelerate Ethereum’s AI ambitions?

In this edition of our weekly AI Edge, we cover:

  • AskBillyBets is making waves in the GambleFAI space

  • A look into BitMind (Subnet 34)

  • Prime Intellect raises $15 million led by Founder’s Fund

ALCH and HAT showed some gains this week. ALCH soared 42%, likely fueled by its shift to cloud-based architecture and the launch of DeepSearch, which lets AlchemistAI conduct research before generating applications. Meanwhile, HAT’s upcoming partnerships with FourMeme and Abstract Chain helped it stay in the green.

On the flip side, KIP took a brutal 63.25% hit, with suspected trading irregularities on a centralized exchange leading to outsized sell orders and market instability.

Despite the broader market dip, seven AI agents have defied the odds, not just surviving but thriving—with market caps now higher than before.

These agents could become dominant players in their categories. Five of them come straight out of the Virtuals ecosystem, which keeps building momentum.

From AGIXBT’s expanding agent hive to Symphony’s high-speed trading terminal to Freysa’s gamified AI training, these teams are shipping products that resonate. As AI agents level up, the real question is: who’s next to blow up?

AskBillyBets Making Waves

Source: dashboard.billybets.ai

Billy Bets is an AI-powered degen bettor that combines SportsTensor’s machine learning, real-time sports data (Sportsdata.io), and on-chain betting strategies to autonomously analyze games, predict outcomes, and place bets—no human input needed.

Billy is not just crunching numbers. It'’s got personality. Think sharp sports bettor meets trash-talking Twitter degen meets stats-obsessed fanatic. It’s loud on Twitter, Discord, and Telegram, dishing out insights, dropping betting alpha, and firing off the occasional spicy take to keep the community engaged.

Built on Bittensor’s SportsTensor, Billy specializes in NBA, NFL, and MLB games, generating win probabilities while constantly refining its edge by tracking sharp bettors and market trends. Bets are executed through decentralized betting platforms like Polymarket, ensuring full transparency.

Billy’s strategies? A mix of arbitrage, copying top bettors, market-making, and risk management using Kelly optimization to maximize returns. The $BILLY token fuels the ecosystem, granting holders access to premium betting insights and AI-powered research. Plus, 50% of Billy’s betting profits go straight into buybacks, aligning token value with performance.

Billy’s been on a heater. With 3.3M impressions, and 60K engagements on X, its presence is only growing. On the betting side, Billy has wagered over $180K, locked in a 6.39% ROI, and already burned $8.9K USDC along with 855K $BILLY tokens—0.085% of the total supply.

Will Billy’s hot streak last? We’ll find out.

🌴 Bittensor Subnet 34: Bitmind

BitMind (aka Bittensor Subnet 34) is leading the charge in decentralized AI content verification. Its core mission? Sniffing out AI-generated content—deepfakes, synthetic media, and whatever else the machines cook up—preserving digital trust in an era of AI-generated chaos.

Instead of relying on a centralized authority, BitMind crowdsources the job to its miners, who run AI models to determine whether content is real or synthetic.

A score above 0.5? AI-generated.

Validators then challenge these classifications, refining the system’s accuracy in a high-stakes game of truth detection. Currently, miners and validators each rake in 200.56 TAO daily (in total), while the entire subnet emits 489.16 TAO per day—fully maxed out with 256 UID slots occupied.

BitMind’s open-source ethos means the community gets full transparency and room to innovate. Many cool projects have been built on top of it:

Earlier this week, it dominated subnet mindshare rankings, reinforcing its position as a heavyweight in decentralized AI content verification.
